Hi flapjack,

I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment that a vibrant middle class is the best future for our nation. The Republican view seems to be that an ever expanding, mal-educated and malleable underclass is desirable. The best way to make sure the "leaf blowers" and burger flippers can never rise to be a threat to the privileges and perquisites of the pampered plutocrat.

If we want inequality, massive jailing of the citizenry, compounded with the massive jailing of the rich in their gated communities, the Republican vision is the one for us.

I utterly reject the need or desirability of such an oligarchic future.
