Thank you Pete for the compliment on my newsletter.

Pete/Richard: I always wondered if Brinker had a newsletter, or some other type of written product that he offered prior to 1986. One of my subscribers actually met Brinker for an office visit (he kept his business card and sent me a copy of Brinker's letter and business card). This was back in 1983 (before syndication), and Brinker was still offering advice for individual investors in one-one one consultations if you can imagine it. The letter is very interesting.

I have a complilation of articles relating to Brinker, but most of them don't go back too far. I do have one from from the mid-1980s. With respect to published articles, here is an excerpt from the Orange County Register back in 1987 that someone sent me:

Orange County Register (8/10/87):

...."Brinker believes that the next leg of this bull market will be fueled by higher corporate earnings and will witness a transfer of leadership from the blue chips to high-quality, emerging-growth stocks with 'strong managements, good stories and no problems.' Among his recent favorites: Agency Rent-A-Car, Duquesne Systems, Manpower, Ryan's Family Steakhouses, Seaman Furniture and VM Software."

I am sure there are more articles, and perhaps people can find them and post them. I would imagine that if he made that excellent call in 1982, then perhaps it was reported somewhere so we could dig it up. - David
