I'll bet it's great when the spec tuned compiler has had several passes over the one, fixed, data set to optimize the code.

The question is, how will it do on the myriad custom SAS, etc. programs that run on a new data set each time they are exercised.

Given what we've heard about an Intel program starting up to re-engineer Itanic to do run time optimizations, which may even require OOE, my guess is that Itanic continues to disappoint whenever it is run on real apps and real data.
