... he couldn't move his arms or legs.

Nor could he lift his head.

He noticed his reflection in the shiny metal above him. Obviously, he was strapped in.

But, why?

Bugs Pond (our hero!) was not a menace to society. Far from it! Bugs was the modern day version of [insert name of your favorite super-hero here].

So, why was a hero of his stature strapped in ??

Bugs' acute senses immediately picked up on the fact that he wasn't in the best of possible situations.

"No problem", Bugs muttered. He began to quietly work the 12 inch hacksaw blade out from under the pouch sewn to the bottom of his tongue. With precision gained from the hours of intensive super-hero training, he worked the blade across the strap that held his head in place until the strap fell away. Then, on to the strap holding his arms to the table (fortunately, it was a 12 inch blade).

Within minutes, Bugs Pond (our hero!) was free from his entrapments. He hopped off the table and examined his surroundings.

It was obvious that he was in an enclosed observation area. The only way out was through that door over there.

But, the door was locked from the outside.

"Aw, geez", muttered Bugs. "It's never easy, is it?"

He looked around for a way to pick the lock on the door.
