The next Indian president is likely to be a Muslim,

...who didn't say a word when hundreds of Muslims were butchered in Gujarat recently. Moreover, in India, a President is like a clerk -- a mere figurehead, the equivalent of the King/Queen in present-day England. And within Indian political circles, the President is referred to as a "rubber stamp".

India's secularism is enshrined in its constitution. It would need more that 2/3 votes to change that.

It can remain in the constitution. But if the constitution is not enforced, it doesn't matter whether or not it is changed.

In Pakistan even the Muslims are second class citizens

In India, a lot of Hindus are second-class, third-class, fourth-class... citizens. It is layer upon layer upon layer of castes, subcastes, creeds and what not. Caste wars are quite common in places like Bihar and maybe a few other states, and lower-castes are butchered so regularly that the newspapers report those incidents in page 8 or 10 or 12, if they do report them.
