I visited a Circuit City store today... and was stunned to see how AMD based systems were on display. Desktops were an eMachines Athlon XP, 3 different Compaq Athlon XPs, and an HP Athlon XP system. Sony, HP, and several Compaq notebooks with Athlons and Durons were also on display. About a third of the computers available were AMD based. Where did this come from? Wanna_bmw and Elmer said that Intel was on a blitz and AMD had been pushed back into the whitebox and enthusiast markets....
