Looking at the symptoms I see inflationary environment in US (money aggregates, real estate prices, consumer debt), with the (inevitable?) outcome of deflationary cycle, where everybody will keep money in the mattress or in gold and try desperately to pay down on his or her debt.

[EDIT] it's a fight alright for J6P's soul. As long as he's compfy, who cares, how it spells.

It is in any case a non-equilibrium situation and if the two extreme positions are (pendulum left) inflation or (pendulum right) deflation, then I read it left.

Any comments, Jay?

Of course my hope is the swing will not break the wire and let the pendulum crash.
