Hmmmmm.... Maybe actually the conspiracy was more like me in league with Scanshift to nail Tony, seeing how I also terminated Tony's account.
You weren't there, so you really don't know. But, yes, while it's quite true that Scanshift was posting very negatively about Tony, that most certainly isn't why he was first suspended then permanently shown the door. As I told Scanshift, it wasn't whether I believed or disbelieved what he was saying. I really didn't care as the validity/invalidity of his statements was utterly irrelevant for purposes of my doing my job, which involved showing him the door after he not only repeated his personal attacks and invasions of the privacy of a person not even party to his war (though had they been his target, that wouldn't have excused it), but went way over the line in a way that likely only he and I and other former Go2Net employees know about.
Just because someone posts negatively or positively about a person or a stock and that same person also gets suspended or terminated doesn't mean that they were suspended or terminated for having a positive or negative opinion.
It's a claim I see most often from penny stock touts. Something along the lines of "Yeah, so-and-so was threatening people and cussing a blue streak, but that's not why Bob suspended him. Bob suspended so-and-so because he's short [penny ticker here] and so-and-so was threatening Bob's profits by telling everyone what a wonderful company [POS ticker here] really is. Viva [scam stock ticker here]!!! Buy more [POS here] because it's about to blow and Bob's trying to keep the lid on it. $5 by Friday!!!"
Actually, I took some liberties there for the sake of readability. It's usually typed in all caps with no punctuation save for about 4 dozen exclamation points at the end.
Now since you want to use the typical tout methods of throwing out insinuations in the form of questions, let me ask you this: Did anyone else ever speak negatively about Tony? If so, were they suspended for doing so?
If it can be honestly said that everyone who ever spoke negatively about Tony was subsequently suspended, then I think you'd have a leg to stand on. In reality, though, you don't.
I have another question. Why all this canonizing of Scanshift suddenly? Tony's been convicted of nothing, but now some people want to portray Scanshift as a saint who was trying to save everyone from Tony?
So, if Tony's arrest makes Scanshift wise, credible, and unduly "punished", the same logic would dictate that every company Tony ever called a scam was actually a wonderful company.
I most certainly think not. |
