Lorne, it is good you went through and came across the paragraphs that you posted. Genghiz Khan also came to that region with his barbaric hordes. The Muslim kings also tortured the Sikhs. A significant line in your post was that the people from the Arabian peninsula displayed those barbaric tendencies in contrast to the Egyptians and other Arabs who had a cultural background. And ir also talks about why the people from the Arabian peninsula exhibit that kind of violent behavior compared to the other Arabs. It is their geography and not their religion. Matbe that is still true today in that of the 19 WTC terrorists, a large majority came from Suadi Arabia. IN fact Osama himself is from there.

So I do have my own views on the Muslim religion. But it is not a summary judgement "that getting a 9 year old to marry an old man is a pedophile" as some on this thread have said. Now there have also been very benvolent Muslim kings like the Mughal dynasty. It was one of the Mogul kings who built the Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world. But the greatest of them all was King Akbar the Great, very cultural, very benevolent. Here is a read
