I watched a documentary on the Travel Channel tonight, that claims Fort Knox really does have 3 Trillion Dollars of Gold! On January 13, 1937 The first delivery was made to Fort Knox. Over ¼ million gold bars were delivered at todays estimated value of 15.5 Billion Dollars. Supposedly the vault has been highly guarded ever since. In 1974 their were rumors that the gold was gone a delegation lead by Senator Huddleston of Kentucky took a trip to the Gold vault and confirmed the gold was really there. A sign in the background on the video claims the vault holds 32,260 Gold Bars. A former worker who has been in the vault a thousand times says the bars weight ranges between 27 and 40 lbs. A guard who appeared on the documentary, very enthusiastically states he has seen the Gold and that it is there.
