Usually an entire line artifact is the result of the video card. It could have a bad memory row. There is a smaller possiblility that you have row based monitor, like Sony trinitron, and are using a video mode that just skips over that row (because it wasn't designed with the same number of pixel rows that you are asking it to display). In such as case a different video mode would be the answer. There is a different set of problems that occur with LCD screens. TP
