I don't know that there are any "basic theories", but lots of questions being avoided by the administration.
Those seem to bear reading and reflection, IMO.
My own concern is rampant secrecy within what has become an all-powerful central government, and the new powers to secretly try and execute, or hold without public trial, for an ulimited time, even US citizens because someone says they have secret evidence.
This is what we declared independence from at The Founding.
So, these issues are very relevant, and I share those suspicions, knowing how power easily breeds corruption.
Question: how do you think the administration defines "success" in this war on terrorism?
My own definition is increased security and prosperity at home. However, the administration has priorities for pre-emptive foreign military adventures, which arguably leave us more vulnerable and likely to be attacked, not less. |
