Confessions of a self-admitted drug pusher
Yes, it is I. With no regrets, I might add.
In all seriousness I have witnessed the power of Pennsaid in the past few weeks and I want to share it with everyone.
A good friend has been travelling back and forth to Barbados lately on business, and has brought me back several bottles. While I kept a bottle for myself (awaiting an amateur sports injury), most of the bottles were intended for relatives and friends who suffer from OA. It's always tough to push a new drug on people and ask them to pay for it, so taking a page out of the drug pushers handbook, the first bottle is free for all family and friends willing to give it a shot. This has now cost me several hundred dollars, a small cost to pay to confirm my investment.
I am terribly excited by the feedback.
My aunt - In her 70's, awaiting knee replacements due to ravaging OA. Has walked with a cane for several years. After using Pennsaid, she no longer uses her cane. Not being able to tolerate the Cox-2s, she used to not be able to sleep at night due to chronic pain - she says she now sleeps like a baby.
My father - Young senior with not bad OA, but whenever doing gardening his wrists and elbows flare up. Does not take any oral medication for this because it is not severe enough to risk the side effects, yet it is painful enough to limit the activities he can do in the garden. After the last flare up he tried Pennsaid and said the pain was completely gone.
My mother-in-law - 65yrs old with numerous health problems including two recent back operations to correct herniated disks. This problem has wrecked her posture which has in turn worn out the cartilage in both knees. This is compounded by bad OA which she has had for 10 years. She has spent much of the past several years either lying in bed or in a wheelchair, and at best getting around with a cane. She phoned me today to let me know that she has only used Pennsaid on her knees so far and the results are amazing. She said it is so much easier to get around and now wants to know when I can get her more so she can use it on all her other joints. She questioned the instructions which call for 3-4 applications a day, saying that one application is lasting almost 24 hours. She used to take both Voltaren and Celebrex and could not tolerate either.
A few comments of note from just about everyone who has used it: 1) The pain relief lasts longer than the label suggests 2) No garlic breath 3) The relief is greater at the specific location than orals
I really wanted to share my excitement with all of you. I am convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that if J&J gets behind Pennsaid in the US, the sky is the limit. Both my aunt and my mother-in-law are completely disinterested parties in terms of their connection to Dimethaid. Neither own any shares of DMX, nor have either of them ever heard of Pennsaid before I pushed it on them. I should also add that these are both women who are long time pill poppers due to chronic health problems, and have both grown very jaded with pharmaceutical products. Both are now begging me to get them more.
There must be something wrong with me, but I can't wait until I sprain my ankle or wrist playing sports.
I know it's hard to get excited hearing third hand testimonials, but when you see people who you've watched suffer for many years, now with no pain and a smile on their face, it is terribly exciting.
Get off your a$$ HC and let millions of Canadians enjoy the same benefit.
