I basically agree. Any student should be able to get an A (after all, classes are tracked) if he puts in the effort. Not only that, but one should aspire to teach them so thoroughly, and motivate them so much, that they get that A. I believe that, barring mental impairment, most things can be broken down such that anyone can understand, and that skills and facts, the most teachable elements, can be organized so that most people can assimilate them. That does not mean that it is practical to teach ever subject to everyone, and sometimes prerequisites are necessary, but it does mean that if they belong in your class at all, you have a pretty good shot at teach them most of what you think they should know.......
