As it turns out, communities that do protect themselves from the rape & pillage crowd are simply exporting the worst of the ecological despoilation to weaker communities, such as the indigenous populations of Bouganville, Irian Jaya, the Yanomami lands of Brazil, Guyana province in Venezuela etc.
