Nice day for me today... But then I guess a lot of people are doing well today as long as they are not short.
AMD is up 12.5%. My largest holding (TRW) is up marginally.

And a small holding of mine VASO is up 82% (unfortunately it just about bring me back to break even on that stock. )

Tim and thread, I want you all to check out a semi I once traded that has fallen on hard times. Its TXCC. Over a year ago, it traded at $60+. Today it closed at $.75. This kind of dramatic drop has been seen with a ton of net stocks but this is a first, at least for me, with a semiconductor stock that was once profitable.

Doing a quick review this AM, it looks like the company has not had a design win in over a year. Consequently, its revenues are decimated. Part of that can be attributed to the space its in.......telecom but I suspect another part of the problem is their product line. I was going to blow it off until I saw that they have roughly $2.5 per share in cash. I figure that's got to be worth something......well at least $.75 per share so I bought some.......actually at $.74.

Check it out and let me know what you think. Their GM at 53% would be good if they could sell something. They went from a $155 million in revenue in 2000 to $58 million last year and they are on track this year to make $16. Their P/S is a 3. Again, the attraction is the cash.....otherwise, they are fabless and their IP is probably not worth much.
