Well, I think we have reached the key philosophical issue. I really wish I had time to get into the discusssion in greater depth, but sadly this is not an ideal time for me to spend lots of time on the question. But it's a variant of the classic question of elitism vs. egalitarianism. There is so much I want to say on this that I hope this discussion continues until I have the time to plunge back in.
