Michael, wow, I just increased my download speed 4x by changing the Receive Buffer to 64240 bytes. I used pcpitstop.com to do this automatically. pcpitstop.com

To do the test click on 'internet connection' on the left. To improve download speed follow the suggestion shown after test results are displayed. I trust pcpitstop, besides you can later set that buffer back to Windows default if not satisfied. Requires reboot.

PS: I just repeated the test several times and now improvement is 2.5 to 3x. Still a worthwhile tweak.
