Those pre expiry are getting too predictive, the problem is that they keep "preemting" earlier and earlier, it used to be they'd kill the puts on Wednesday and then Thursday and Friday they'd kill the calls, maybe that model applies when we are closer to max pain, this time, when we are so far, maybe they started the put sacrifice orgy early.... Frankly, I thought that in this cycle, the tendency would be to unwind rather than to move the market in their direction to maximize pains (mostly because we were getting quite far from Max pain), thus last week, I changed the "interphase end" from this Tuesday to the high last Thursday.
