Monday Jun 17 2002 News Release

Mr. Ewan Downie reports
WOLFDEN INTERSECTS ADDITIONAL HIGH GRADE MINERALIZATION AT HI ...
Drilling at Wolfden's 100-per-cent-owned High Lake property in Nunavut continues to extend mineralization in both the B and D zones. Drilling has intersected additional mineralization on the north end of the D zone, and full assaying in hole No. HLW-208 has extended the previously announced high-grade copper intersection. The current phase I program will consist of diamond drilling using two drill rigs and airborne geophysics. The budget for the current program is approximately $2-million and drilling is expected to continue throughout the summer.
Full assaying of the main horizon in hole HLW-208 drilled to test the south end of the B zone, extended the zone from 24.45 metres grading 7.06 per cent Cu (see Stockwatch May 12) to 47.8 metres grading 5.35 per cent Cu including two higher grade intervals -- 4.65 metres grading 9.11 per cent Cu and 10.55 metres grading 14.32 per cent Cu. Hole No. HLW-205 intersected 10.75 metres grading 1.56 per cent Cu and 10.87 per cent Zn in the D zone approximately 40 metres down dip of HLW-202 (28.3 metres grading 2.4 per cent Cu, 6.6 per cent Zn). HLW-206 did not penetrate through the granodiorite in the B zone due to drilling difficulties however it indicates limited potential of the B zone horizon on this section. Additional assays from other mineralized sections in hole HLW-208 are pending, as well as for holes 207, 210 and 211. The current program consists of step-out drilling along strike and down dip in the B and D zones, and both zones remain open for expansion. The following table summarizes the results received from holes HLW-205 and 208:
