I think there's something to the assumption that an unproven medical treatment is frowned upon until it is proven effective, clinically. Especially with medical practitioners.
Vaso's device may be installed in key hospital clinics, but it may be there because some resident doctors feels it's always worth a try as an alternative. But a heart specialist may not see it that way.
Very same reason why Oxy therapy in Europe is not covered by insurance, even though it is practised a lot.
I had chemopapayne done to my disks years ago by a Cdn doctor who had to move to the US as it was cut off Ontario's medical plan.
In the US, it's paid for by cash by the patient at John Hopkins for the same reason. It's very effective, very expensive when it works and Dr. Kostuik is very busy with almost excusively very wealthy patients.
It's unfortunate sometimes and it would be nice to see some of these move quickly and easily into mainstream practice.
I'll keep an eye on this one for a few years.
