I don't understand that statement. If the line appears on every screen then it sounds like the line IS, in fact, in the photograph. If it isn't in the photograph it could be either the camera or, if you used a scanner, the scanner.

Just fyi, my 17" Sony Trinitron works just fine. Like the one guy posted, once in a while on a white background, I can barely discern the two lines but it hardly detracts from the quality of the display.
