What a game! The attacks and counter-attacks from both sides made the game very exiting. In spite of a couple of controversial calls during the game, Korean team’s performance against the strong Italians was highly respectable and they came out ahead in overtime. History was made for Korea.

Korea’s next rival is Spain. Spain is also a world class team like Italy, as we all know. But I believe Korea prefer to play against Spain than against Italy when they have a choice. The reason is Spain style belongs to gentle type, which makes physically smaller Koreans able to handle the game better. It would be reasonable to predict under the current situation, Korea have a better than 50/50 chance to beat Spain in the coming game and go to the semi finals.

I disagree with Mr. Yeung’s reasoning about hate in soccer. It was simply too negative. For example I don’t find Brazilians are too arrogant and should be hated by others for the reason. Even if they were somewhat arrogant, if it is proportionally to what they have achieved in the art of soccer they have contributed to the world, it’s fine by me. (If they are too arrogant, they can’t play the game well any more, because the ego gets in the way). If we can balance our thinking between the positive and the negative sides of a matter, we should come out all right. Sorry Mr. Yeung, that’s how I see this issue.

Looking forward to more WC entertainments.
