the blocks today.....

A good understanding of what happened in the sector, summer '98, has helped me during this correction. It will be important to know, in a few years:

1. the identity of the fund manager that is dropping blocks today as some cover short positions (yes, that's a guess),

2. the "why?" behind the position liquidation, and

3. the manner in which some learned that the liquidation was inevitable.
