The most inspiring teachers at any age, are the ones who care enough about us to bring us in. Those teachers or professors who seem to care about our development. It is the same in life, isn't it?

The same phenomenon occurs in offices. Some managers have a sense of stewardship over their areas of responsibility and tend to develop their staffs. Others don't and I've guess that they have a more competitive rather than collaborative orientation. I learned to be the former from someone who was really good at it and who totally converted me to that preference, but I've seen good managers from both schools.
