Valence Technology to Hold Annual Shareholder Meeting August 27, 2002
AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--JUNE 18, 2002--Valence Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq:VLNC - News), owner and developer of SAPHION(TM) technology, the world's first commercial phosphate Lithium-ion battery chemistry, is a leader in the development and commercialization of Lithium-ion polymer rechargeable batteries. The company today announced that it has moved the date of its annual shareholder meeting to Tuesday, August 27, 2002 at 1:00 PM (CST). The meeting, which was previously scheduled for July 23, 2002, will be held at the Barton Creek Resort, located at 8212 Barton Club Drive in Austin, Texas.
Valence expects to file its 10Q for the first quarter of fiscal 2003 by August 14, 2002. The new meeting date will enable a presentation and discussion of events and information through Valence's first fiscal quarter conference call, scheduled for the week of August 12, 2002.
