Eleleth, I would be surprised if you would have @Home service within 2-6 months, if they are just now starting to install fiber-optic cable. Cox has taken about 2 years to upgrade most (but don't think all yet) of their San Diego service area. They have been unusually conservative, though, and had their own cable modem testing going on for about a year. Here the pattern on @Home rollout has been the opposite of what you are experiencing in Seattle - downtown first, then the suburbs. But, then, we were the last to get channel upgrades associated with the initial installation of fiber, so maybe they felt sorry for us. :)
