Taiwan Semi had some good numbers and an announcement recently as did ESST today, guiding still higher, yet more than 50% of the float is sold short.

That in itself says there is a disconnect between knowing whats happening and what isnt.

I beg to differ. I have seen the same thing time and time again. Best example is Flash memory componay SSTI. Kept saying everything was fine, guided higher and higher. Stock kept sinking. SSTI was 50% short at the time.

Eventually SSTI warned and stock crashed.
Same story in CIEN.
When a stock is 50% short, I believe the shorts.
You can believe the CEOs if you want, but I do not recommend it. The "disconnect" is not where you think it is IMO!
