Apparently, excess sodium is only a problem for people who are sensitive to it. The problem is that there's no way to identify who is sensitive to it. Even all BP patients aren't sensitive to sodium. And many people who are sensitive to it haven't yet developed high BP. So there's an unknown risk in excess sodium. Who is at risk is not knowable. We all have to choose whether to be cautious about it or not.
