Remember DIGITAL EQUIPMENT before it was bought
out... Well, to go WAY BACK, DEC had a very nice
relational data base product. ORCL bought it, and
has improved upon DEC's old product. So far as
dealing with RDB, ORCL has the market. This is,
of course, IMHO, and coming from an old data
processor - (they call it IT now). Hell, some of
the manuals still are word for word from the old
DEC manuals. Bottom line, you will get more
bang for the bucks using ORCL than SEBL, MSFT
and the others. Thank God I'm retired and don't
have to keep up with the new technology.
