the symantec support message boards are lit up with complaints about this internet security liveupdate issue. so far, all complaints and no responses. <g> so at least i know it isn't me or my machine. but i suspected that when i encountered the same prob on two different pc's using three different operating systems. duh. one poor dude on the symantec boards is on dial up modem and posting that the download takes him over an hour, then fails to install ("I am really not interested in doing another one hour plus download if this is going to happen again.") OUCH! with cable modem, the same download attempt takes me 15-30 seconds. anyway, i see what intense interest there is here on the cl thread on this topic, so i'll keep everyone informed. LOL!
