And, sooner or later the existence of it will have an impact on the markets. I don't know what Maria Whatzitzs says. I never watch the CNBC vaudeville show. But the constant flow of money into retirement accounts didn't exist in 1933 or 1974. Conceivably it could all flow into 1.75% mm accounts and stay there. Forever. But human nature dictates that that will never be the case in the medium to long run. You may look at our extended bear market every day, see more red, and get off proclaiming the end of the world. That's your right-to make a fool of yourself. But any attempt to predict future activity on a reasonable basis simply doesn't assume Judgment Day before the next weekend. Foolish is foolish, and THAT never changes...
