"10M $50 CPUs is a terrible idea for AMD. Intel can easily afford to sell 5M of their CPUs for $30, leaving only 5M@$50 for AMD. They could still sell 25M more at $150. Of couse they would have losses, but AMD would be gone by time the FCC got involved or Intel went bankrupt."

The current market seems to demand 33 million processors/quarter...If AMD decides to sell 10 million at whatever ASP it can get, there is no way that INTC can maintain the $200 ASP it requires to break even...
