Petz, re: Intel's goodwill and Intel Online Services Shutdown Was the latter item a component of Intel's goodwill asset? I don't consider Intel's goodwill be wholly unimpaired just closer to zero than 100% impaired. From Intel's PR it doesn't note any associated goodwill but also doesn't exclude the possibility: The charge is related to the write-down of capital assets and other costs associated with the phasing out of IOS activity. intel.com I am not familiar with how IOS was obtained/developed but just consider the topic of Intel's goodwill to be overblown. If they wrote it all off this quarter... how will this affect AMD, let alone affect Intel? -PT
