I think the correcting POG is just one side of the story. The other one is the Ashanti's hedge position. It blew up in their faces once, in 1999.
This time if POG goes higher their might not be able to find another gold mine for sale to cover their losses.
Unfortunately, either way BGI gets nothing. I suppose they could get out of the deal with Ashanti and get money for exploration somewhere else. GSR?
