I was on the train platform with a friend today recounting a story that occurred in the last week here. My final comment was that it is amazing how many idiots who make it to SVP/EVP/Pres level are more concerned about politics than actual business.

I believe that a death knell for a company is when the politicos run the show...thankfully, in this particular story, the politico was quickly silenced and shunted aside. Given that he's gone through one (very public) demotion, I gotta believe he's on the way out.
