As I recall, integral to Q's license with China is mandatory use of Q ASICs

Simply put, it said Chinese manufactures MUST USE Qualcomm ASIC's AS LONG AS Qualcomm's chip sets are compeditive in price and function to an alternative CDMA ASIC. This was the agreement to get the reduced domestic royality rate for Chinese manufactures!

First, they'd better learn how to do 1x DATA.
Then there's that nasty GPS problem.
Then there's BREW.


They already have. Phone just came out of the FCC certification system.
