To me, it seems counter-intuitive that individuals would make large purchases when the economy is crumbling. Also, it would seem that an individual should reign in their spending habits and take a conservative approach to new purchases at any price.

What am I missing here? What part don't I understand? Should I be buying QCOM calls?
