The question is. Would they be prevented from manufacturing/selling handsets in China by the Chinese? Absolutely not. China is now part of the WTO. They will open their markets, be fair and welcome foreign participation with opened arms. China will follow the examples of the free world, practice free trade in the spirit of friendship and promotion of world peace. In fact, I heard rumors that Nokia is leasing some of their space in Helsinki to ZTE and lending them some marketing staff so ZTE can sell their GSM handsets in Europe.
