The other half is that even if you could agree on a definition of terrorism, that's not the important part of the problem.

It's important from a "why we fight" propaganda basis. When the Hamas killed the Minister of Tourism for Israel, that was an act of war, when they send a bomber in to blow up people at a bus stop, that's terrorism. From a propaganda viewpoint, Israel wants to refer to both as terrorism, and I agree with that viewpoint. Same with the Cole. An act of War? Yes. Same people that committed terrorism on the WTT? yes. Call both of the acts terrorists? Yes.

If you split it up, you confuse the issue for the people.
