Flair,

Most of my recent lot of Lucent VEUANs were bought on May 31 at $8 3/4, so $19 ish was a good price to let go at after 6 weeks. The stock has been on a tear lately, and I just felt that the inevitable "breather" would come sooner or later.

I plan to unload most of my LEAPS calls (shorting against the box) before end of summer, except for CSCO 99 (85, VYCAQ) which were bought at $5. I will keep this one a bit longer (or holding indefinitely) because:

1) CSCO's reporting date will come about 3 weeks later than INTC or MSFT's.

2) CSCO is expected to ship major products in the second half of the year, and I suspect it may be by the end of Q3.

By end of October, I shall begin re-initiating new LEAPS call positions for all my core holdings, and they will be the 2000 variety and not the 99ers.

Regards,
Ibexx

PS: Used some of the LU LEAPS proceeds and bought QCOM 70s recently. Qualcomm is a superior candidate for LEAPS as its earning will leapfrog next year and years to come. Competitor MOT is not focused and nimble enough to compete in the satellite arena.
