LF, There sin was being a great growth stock that had a couple of non-growth quarters. Also, the theory was that all the paging cos, Gems's big customers, were going belly up. This theory ignores the fact that somebody will still do the paging and require Gems equipment. It also ignores the fact that PCS, two-way paging, and foreign business are booming.

I sold a third at 18 5/8. The only reason was to lower my exposure to all equities as I took my capital appreciation portfolio from 20 pct. (maximum) of my total investments to 10 pct. (maximum). I sold off pieces, larger and smaller, of most of my holdings to bring down total market exposure. It had nothing to do with Gems, which I still like very much. MB
