I posted on that before, Jim Grant has been making that argument for a while now, and IMTO, it is simple sour grapes. The guy is so intelligent, it is a poor excuse for having such poor market sense. Those hedge funds are not kids, these are the cream of the normal funds manager which simply refused the yoke of being forced to be in equities (by the fund's own by laws), that they went out on their own and founded hedge funds. I'll take Vinik's advice any day if I could have it (and knew it was not a "lead the blind to slaughter" as he did in 1995 when he was at Magelan, dumping MU privately, but lauding it publicly) anytime over Grant's pontifications. One of those poets turned analysts (meaning writing reams of paper, but giving no rational nor correct direction). Zeev
