Hi: That the US will supply the sensors to India is acceptance of the fact that cross-border terrorism exists which is caused by the Pakistani-based terrorist outfits who have an affinity to Al Qaeda, Taliban and other assorted "jihadists." The US doesn't care one way or other who owns and rules Kashmir, India or Pakistan as long the US is secure in the fact that these entities do not cause trouble to the US, that is from the foreign policy point of view. The reason the US wants to get rid off Sadam H is because of the fact that he is developing weapons of mass destruction which might possibly find their destructive potential on the US soil. If Sadam is a man of peace, the US won't care who rules Iraq, that is as long as he doesn't cause any trouble to his neighbors or try to usurp another country which is of vital oil interest to the US. Since Kashmir has no potential value in its resources to the US, the US had no interest in Kashmir with all the terrorists running amok and causing murder and mayhem. But the nuclear confrontation between the two South Asian neighbors on account of Kashmir had nuclear fallout as the steep price to pay; then it became a priority to the US.
As far as India is concerned, Kashmir is part of the union. There is nothing on this earth at present that will wrest the Indian-held Kashmir from India. I very seriously doubt it has any territorial designs on the POK or the wretched country of Pakistan. Who wants to have the headaches with their Jihadists? The people of Pakistan have been brainwashed sufficiently in such ways that a popular upraising in the name of democracy is a remote unthinkable possibility. But perceived repression by any oligarch of the people's religious sensitivities and control by foreign domination will provoke a civil war. Pakistan will not break up on account of India but fissures will occur because of pressure from inside, as the Govt wants to bring the country into this new millennium. There is one dominant mood in the country: a killer instinct against foreigners, minorities like the Ahamadias, Shias, Christians etc and dislike of the West. This animosity will surface as a self-destructive civil war. The money ill-spent on Nukes and the nukes themselves will not be of any help to the oligarch under these circumstances. The Nukes have no deterrent value against its own people engaged in civil disobedience and war. The development of the Islamic bomb is agains the Hindu bomb, but that Islamic bomb won't be of any use on Islamic militants. But the pakis better make sure that their nuclear material does not fall into the hands of the terrorists, otherwise they have to answer in many ways to Uncle Sam who pays their bill.
