I don't seem to get the results you described when I fire my Resource Meter. I get a tiny box at the right side of the task bar. When I click on it I get boxes telling me about 13% of three different areas in my machine are free. The rest is being used for something, but I don't know what.

I just rebooted. With nothing but the desktop loaded, a performance check shows only 53% of system resources are free... and I haven't loaded a thing.

I need more help, obviously.
