My father was an alcoholic
I didn't find there was much I could do
my mother and I nagged for a while
and when that made my dad drink more, we quit
we went to support groups
hoping he would hit bottom and help himself
but he never did
there wasn't anything more we could do for him

There is a difference between toleration, and learning to accept that which you cannot change
if you take on the entire world with all its problems
the world will win
