On the news, the Sept. Dollar Index sank .54 at the opening to 109.85, its lowest level in two years against the euro. E-mails from subscribers in Europe tell me that there is resistance to accepting dollars in Europe and that the euro is now traded as though it was worth a dollar (actually, the September euro was trading this morning at 95.78).
