As one who jumped ship from the market usual suspects into reits about 2 years ago i can vouch that this is the place to be. I kinda like the mortgage backed reits (AXM RAS AHR etc) as opposed to straight property reits though almost all have shown good appreciation. Ras and Axm have been two that have been real good to me ex. RAS from 9 7/8 two years ago to around 23.50 now. that plus a 2.48 div. it soesn't get much better then that.
