Thanks for doing the results summary, naturally I go 0 for 1 already<g>

I am very disappointed with England. It looks like this team totally melted in the heat...I hate it when they play the games in the peak of the heat in the WC in the summer, why can't they just play at night, more energy and I love the atmosphere much better!

England was never in the game, they deserved to lose, they never got going, never really threatened, it looks like they all picked this day to play their worst, very disapointing. Disapointing because they never gave Brazil the challenge I was looking for, Brazil is marching to this WC with only Turkey(!!!) having challenged them. You saw this team's defense is suspect, Owen punished them and then disappeared. Heck, they all disappeared, it was like watching a ghost outthere. Ronaldinho was superb and the red card was inexcusable, this "Ronaldinho incident" should be investigated immediately (Hey, I sure sound like an Italian). Overly harsh, the ref made a mistake, it happens, game goes on. But what gets me about this ref was he decided to enforce the red card for tackles with cleats up to the letter and he let both teams' players continue flopping like it was Bolshoy dance show! If you were going to enforce the laws of the game, he should have carded many more players, instead he let them flop for the whole game, pitiful performance by this ref. Now, we get to not have the pleasure to watch Ronaldinho in the semifinal, it's a crying shame. Seaman: I always felt this guy was one of the most overrated goalies in the world and he did not prove me otherwise today...he got caught with his pants down and he looked shaky all day long, time to retire!

Too bad Ronaldo did not score to meet his promise for one goal per game.

2 1/2 hours for the USA game, I am staying up since I took a nap from 9.30 to 1.30....

Let's go all together now...

USA, USA, USA, USA, USA
