jjstingray, like my call for QCOM and some basic projection work that I do, I can only guess on what may happen. With my style of analysis I feel very comfortable telling you that the pressure is going to be on stocks ALL YEAR long. A theme I have repeated often on this thread. But I will admit that by year end or so last qtr. things may get tricky depending on how low we go. We may get some kind of relief rally in the last qtr. (could be strong) with possible retesting 2003. At that point my analysis is going to require more brain power. But to answer your question I think the compx could easily loose another 50%, 700-750 from here.

After rereading your last paragraph I think your analysis could very well be right on the money. If stocks push anywhere near their historical lows, is that going to be enough to turn investors off to the idea of owning stock? Many investors do not remember the generals trading in the single digits. I have to admit I don't. Those pre 2000 days still weigh heavily on investors' psyches. Its anyone's guess but either way very painful.

Regards,
